at Big Towel Spa August 30, 2024 at the Sylvan Motor Lodge, Hillsdale, NY
Join us for this special evening of sauna, swimming, sounds (by Cousin Angus and Rager), group and individual restorative treatment experiences/participatory installations, and herbal concoctions. Some of what will be on offer: Screenbathing by Dr. Tinkle, divination saunas, Better Dreams Bodywork with Han, Sonic Steam with Cousin Angus, Whisking with Kelly of Big Towel, and self-serve motel room treatments by Allie Wist.
Come rest, restore, sweat, delight, be together with beloveds, friends and strangers as sustenance for the long haul of all the important work you are doing towards liberation and thriving of life: protesting, feeding people, restoring soil, teaching, learning, parenting, taking pictures, making posters, fliers, stickers, performances, singing, writing, saying things people need to hear, holding complexity, refusing to be siloed, loving queerly, loving yourself, divesting from individualism, recovering from prestige culture and internalized supremacies, healing your body, taking care of elders, taking care of sick and disabled people, taking care of yourself, loving your friends, loving strangers even if you deeply disagree with them, organizing, holding mystery, refusing fixed goals, listening, pleasure-ing, SHARING SHARING SHARING…
Your entry (sliding scale $40-100) includes access to it all of it for all of the time, 6-10pm. Get your tickets at Big Towel Spa. Price is higher than a usual show or open sauna time because organizing stuff like this is work and we want and need to pay artists and practitioners for their work.
